How to schedule and publish to Nostr with Sheevook

Short public notes to the relays you choose, signed by your own key through a remote signer. No algorithm: people see what the accounts and relays they follow carry. Sheevook turns one approved idea into a Nostr-native post (grounded in the platform's real rules, not a generic cross-post), then schedules it and measures what it drove.

Sheevook publishes to Nostr for real, through a live connection: write once, tailor natively, schedule, and it goes out on time.

Is Nostr worth your time?

Worth it if your audience is technical, privacy-minded or already on Nostr, and you are willing to write as a person. The network is small and wary of marketing, and nothing here is ranked or paid for.

Before you connect

  • Paste the bunker:// address, never your nsec. Sheevook refuses a private key and does not store one.
  • Every relay must be a public wss:// address. Some relays require payment or an allow-list, and one that refuses the note is recorded as failed for that relay only.
  • Your signer has to be reachable when a note goes out. If it is offline the note fails with a reason and can be retried.

Nostr at a glance

Character limit
4,000 (sweet spot 80-500)
Hashtags
Up to 3, single-word tags
Best times
No published best times: nothing is ranked, so post when your readers are online. Unmeasured.
Links
Links stay clean in the copy. The tracking is recorded on our side instead of hanging off the end of your URL, so the post reads like a person wrote it and the click is still attributed.

No ranking, no accounts on a server: relays and the people who follow you do the distributing

A note is an event signed by your key and sent to relays you choose. A client builds a reader's feed from the accounts and relays they follow, usually in time order. The protocol defines no ranking and some clients add their own.

Reach is therefore the people who follow your key and read the relays you publish to. A hashtag is a searchable lowercase tag, so a couple of relevant ones help, and replies and reposts by people carry a note further.

Sheevook never holds your key. You connect a remote signer, which keeps the key and signs only the notes you scheduled, and Sheevook sends each signed note to your relays. A note counts as published when at least one relay accepts it.

What gets a Nostr post buried

  • Press-release voice

Thrilled to announce reads as an import from a marketing tool. Say the specific thing, the way you would to a peer.

  • Hashtag stacks

A wall of tags reads as spam, and with no moderators to remove it the cost is your reputation. Three lowercase tags at most.

  • Pictures from a link that will expire

A note holds the address of an image, not the image. Use an address that stays up, because the note does.

  • Expecting an edit or a recall

Once a note has reached relays you cannot take it back. Other relays may keep a copy even if you ask one to delete it, so check the note before it goes.

Publishing to Nostr with Sheevook, step by step

  1. 1

    Get your Nostr account ready

Make a key in a signer: Create an identity in a remote signer such as nsec.app or Amber. The signer keeps the private key; you never paste it anywhere. Fill out the profile: Add a name, a picture and a line about what you post, using any Nostr client. Readers decide to follow from that profile. Copy the bunker address: In the signer, create a connection and copy its bunker:// address. Paste it below with the relays you want to publish to.

  2. 2

    Connect Nostr to Sheevook

Nostr has no accounts on a server. Your key signs each note, and Sheevook never holds it: you connect a remote signer (such as nsec.app or Amber), paste its bunker:// address, and list the relays to publish to. Sheevook asks the signer only to sign text notes. Relays are your choice; wss://relay.damus.io, wss://nos.lol and wss://relay.primal.net are three common ones. A note counts as published when at least one relay accepts it.

  3. 3

Write once, let Sheevook tailor it

Write your post once. Sheevook re-authors it natively for Nostr, inside the 4,000-character limit, with a per-platform diff showing exactly what changed, and it blocks a near-copy of another platform's version before it schedules. The voice it writes in: Direct, plainspoken and a little irreverent; a person among peers, never a brand voice. The audience is wary of marketing and of platforms that track them.

  4. 4

    Schedule or publish

Pick a time (or let Sheevook choose the best open slot for Nostr), or publish now. Turn on Repeat weekly to make it recurring. Each run gets fresh copy automatically.

  5. 5

    See what actually worked

After it publishes, Sheevook reads back the real engagement Nostr reports, and where a link was posted it ties clicks and conversions to the post. Results rank on outcomes, never on vanity reach.

What wins on Nostr

  • Write like a person talking to peers
  • Keep it under about 500 characters so it shows in full
  • Put the link on its own line so a client can preview it
  • Ask a real question when you want replies

Nostr questions people actually ask

How does Sheevook connect to Nostr?
With a remote signer. You paste the bunker address from a signer such as nsec.app or Amber, plus the relays you want to publish to. Sheevook asks the signer for permission to sign text notes only, and it never accepts a private key.
Which relays does it use?
Only the ones you list. Sheevook adds none for you; the connect screen shows three common ones as examples. A note counts as published when at least one of your relays accepts it, and Sheevook records which did.
How long can a note be?
The protocol sets no limit and each relay sets its own. Notes read best under about 500 characters, so Sheevook aims for that.
