How to plan and prepare Apple Business posts with Sheevook

A Showcase on your Apple Maps place card: a 38-character heading, a 100-character body, one photo and an action button. Apple reviews it first; you create it by hand. Sheevook turns one approved idea into an Apple Business-native post that follows its rules, schedules it and measures what it drove.

Sheevook prepares your Apple Business content and plans the post. Auto-publishing is not live, so you post the draft yourself.

Is Apple Business worth your time?

Worth it for a business with a place on the map: a shop, restaurant, salon or service counter. A Showcase puts one current offer or event on your Apple Maps place card, free, for the dates you set.

Apple Business at a glance

Character limit
140 (sweet spot 60-140)
Hashtags
None. They read as spam here
Best times
No published best time. A Showcase runs for a date range you set (up to 365 days, 90 by default), not at an hour.
Links
Links stay clean in the copy. Tracking is recorded separately, so the post reads like a person wrote it and the click is still attributed.

A Showcase is one reviewed module on your Maps place card

Apple describes a Showcase as a module on the place card for new items, deals, sales or other promotional content, with a call to action. It has a heading of up to 38 characters, a body of up to 100, one photo and an action button, and it runs for the dates you set, up to 365 days with 90 by default.

Every Showcase is reviewed by Apple before it shows. Apple says to plan at least three calendar days, that editing a Showcase while it is in review may delay approval, and that if any one language is rejected the whole Showcase is rejected. Apple documents no ranking for the place card, so none is claimed here.

The product is now called Apple Business; it was Apple Business Connect. Sheevook does not post for you: it writes the heading and body to the limits, and you create the Showcase in Apple Business, where you also choose the action button and upload the photo.

What gets an Apple Business post buried

  • Going over 38 and 100 characters

The heading stops at 38 characters and the body at 100. A longer draft does not fit the fields, so cut it before you paste instead of losing the end of the sentence.

  • Putting text, prices or borders in the photo

Apple's photo standards exclude added text, graphics, borders, collages, QR codes and watermarks. Put the offer in the heading and body, and use a plain photo of the real place or product.

  • Using an AI-generated or stock photo

Apple's photo standards list stock photos and AI-generated content among what is not allowed. A rejected photo means the whole Showcase is sent back.

  • Leaving no time for review

Apple reviews each Showcase first and says to plan at least three calendar days. A Showcase for a weekend sale needs to be submitted well before the weekend.

Publish to Apple Business with Sheevook

  1. 1

Get your Apple Business account ready

Claim your location: Sign in to Apple Business and claim or add the location, so you can manage its place card. Create a Showcase: Open Brands, then Locations, choose the location, select Showcases and Create. Add a square photo, the heading, the body and an action.

  2. 2

Know why Apple Business is posted by hand

A Showcase is created by hand in Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Connect), and Apple reviews it before it shows. Draft the heading and body here, then create the Showcase yourself.

  3. 3

Write once, let Sheevook tailor it

Write your post once. Sheevook re-authors it for Apple Business inside the 140-character limit, shows what changed, and blocks a near-copy of another platform's version before it schedules. The voice it writes in: Short, concrete, and local. A heading that names the offer or event, a body that gives the one detail that matters.

  4. 4

Copy it and post it yourself

Approve the draft, use Copy for manual post, and paste it into Apple Business. Nothing goes out until you post it.

  5. 5

    See what actually worked

Apple Business reports nothing back, so there is no engagement to read. Where the post carries your tracked link, its clicks and conversions are still tied to it. Results rank on outcomes, not reach.

What wins on Apple Business

  • Put the offer or event in the heading and its one condition in the body
  • State a date range only if the source gives one
  • Choose the action button that matches the goal: Website, Call Now, Get Directions
  • Use a plain photo of the real place, product or work

Apple Business questions

Can Sheevook create an Apple Maps Showcase for me?
No. A Showcase is created by hand in Apple Business and reviewed by Apple. Sheevook writes the heading and body to Apple's limits, and you create the Showcase yourself.
How long can a Showcase heading and body be?
Apple's guide limits the heading to 38 characters and the body to 100. Sheevook holds a draft to both and flags a line that goes over.
Is Apple Business Connect the same as Apple Business?
Yes. Apple's support site says Apple Business Connect is now Apple Business, which also covers what used to be Apple Business Manager and Apple Business Essentials.
